Here are some commonly asked questions about me and my business:
If I can get the same pricing by booking online as I do with you, what is the advantage of using an agent?
By booking online, you receive a confirmation number and impersonal reminder emails from Disney that sometimes come hours or days after your booking window opens. When you book with me, you get someone who takes the time to get to know your travel wishes, cares about your trip and the memories you make with your loved ones, and will work very hard to help you customize the trip of your dreams. I monitor your package for discounts and apply any your reservation is eligible for upon release. If you book online, Disney will not let you know that you can save money. If you want to apply a discount, you will spend time on hold trying to get it — sometimes hours! I also help you avoid crowds by telling you which park is best to visit each day (if desired), recommend the best restaurants, make dining reservations for you (with the purchase of any dining plan), and offer extensive guidance for using Disney’s FastPass+ reservation system. Using an agent who specializes in Disney vacations costs you nothing, but gives you the unique benefit of working one-on-one with an expert who can help you navigate the intricacies of planning the perfect Disney vacation.
How do you get paid if there are no additional fees?
Disney builds commission into all of their pricing. If you book with them, they keep that money. If you book with me, they pay my agency, who then pays me, after your trip is complete. The price is exactly the same directly or through me. It’s a win-win — you get personalized planning and expert advice free of charge and you’re supporting a small business without spending any additional money.
There are a lot of travel agents/agencies out there – what makes you different?
This is SO important. I am an experienced, full-time agent. I have traveled to Walt Disney World and Disneyland more times than I can count, and have sailed on Disney Cruise Line many times. I’ve stayed at nearly every property at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, am a proud annual pass holder, and have cruised all 4 of Disney’s ships. No guidebook, blog, or website can provide more accurate, timely, and helpful information than someone who is on the ground in the parks several times a year! At the time of this writing in late 2018, I’ve helped over 1,200 families plan their trips to a Disney destination (!!!). I’m also a graduate of Disney’s College of Knowledge, which tests agents on their knowledge and expertise on an annual basis. This is my career, my passion, and how I support my family. As owner and agent at Little Luxuries Travel, your happiness is my #1 priority!
Why Little Luxuries Travel? Do you cater only to luxury clients?
Definitely not! Little Luxuries caters to clients of all budgets! I love the “little luxuries” in life and believe they can be found in the smallest of things. Crisp, clean bed linens, plush robes & towels, and lighted makeup mirrors in my hotel room are some of my own personal favorite “little luxuries”. Having someone handle the intricate details of your vacation experience is certainly one too — no matter your budget!
Do I have to pay for my whole trip up front? Do I pay you or your agency?
Unless your trip is within 30 days, the answer is almost always NO! Walt Disney World has very easy payment terms. When you book a vacation package, a deposit of just $200 is required. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival and can be paid in any increment of $20 or more at a time, as frequently or infrequently as you wish, up until the final payment due date. Your credit card is never charged by Christy Brown or Little Luxuries Travel. All payments are processed directly through Walt Disney Travel Company and will appear as such on your statement. Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Universal Orlando, Sandals, and Beaches all have flexible payment options with minimal deposits required as well!
Oh no — I booked a trip online/by phone with Disney and now I need help! What can I do?
Great news — you can transfer your reservation to me at no charge to you! If you booked a package with Disney within the last 30 days and your reservation is not yet paid in full, please contact me for information on how you can take advantage of my complimentary planning services! No changes will be made to your booking — you’ll even keep the same confirmation number!
